Building Project

Phase 1 is complete! Our daycare staff and children are now housed in our new edition. Be sure to check out our online tour. We appreciate your continued patience during the next phase of construction.

Everyone at Teays Valley Child Development Center and at Scott Depot Christ Fellowship, our sponsoring church, is excited about our new building project.  If you are a frequent visitor to our building, you have already noticed an empty space beside the church.

Both the daycare and the church continue to grow and we are excited for what God has in store for us.  Our building project is a direct response to this growth. Just imagine the impact we can have on our community with a larger facility! We want to be able to reach as many children and families in the Putnam County area as possible.

Our new facilities will provide expanded spaces for our daycare and preschool classes, as well as our administrative staff. Visit The Depot’s website for a full view of the plans.

Our ground breaking ceremony is set for November 4, 2012, at 10 am. We ask everyone to join us in prayer and thanksgiving for this wonderful time of growth. We will post updates here, so be sure to check back frequently to see what’s been happening.

Construction Questions

As with any major construction project, there will be some minor inconveniences we must endure over the next few months. However, be assured that the safety and care of our children will continue to be our highest priority.

We have worked hard to ensure the children will be kept a safe distance from the construction at all times. Before any major work is begun, we will establish a safety perimeter around the area and build a safety fence as an extra precaution.

We have selected Pray Construction Company, a well-known locally owned and operated contractor.  All of the crew members from Pray who are working on our site will have full background checks completed before beginning work. They must wear identification tags at all times and will be limited to the areas needed for construction.

We do ask for our parents’ cooperation and understanding throughout the project. There may be times when it is necessary to relocate some of our classrooms or other activities. However, we will post any changes and let you know about them as far in advance as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact the daycare’s director, Tonya Neal.
